ARTIST TRUST ANNOUNCES 16 VISUAL ARTISTS SELECTED FOR
2010 EDGE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Join Us for the ARTISTS’ FINAL PRESENTATIONS on
August 27, 2010!

Artist Trust is pleased to announce the 16 artists selected to participate in the 2010 EDGE Professional Development Program for Visual Artists, taking place in Seattle July 16 – August 27. Artist Trust is also pleased to announce the first year of the Latino/a Artist Scholarship Fund, spearheaded by Juan Alonso.

The EDGE Program gives artists the opportunity to build community through peer support and to acquire the relevant entrepreneurial skills in order to achieve their personal career goals. EDGE offers a comprehensive survey of professional practices through a hands-on, interactive curriculum that includes instruction by professionals in the field, specialized presentations, panel discussions and assignments. Since EDGE began in 2003, Artist Trust and its partners, ArtsNow and Bellingham Technical College, have administered the program to 397 Washington State visual artists, filmmakers and writers.

Please join us for the Artists’ Final Presentations on Friday, August 27 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm at GGLO, 1301 First Ave, Suite 301, Seattle. To RSVP for this event and for more information about the EDGE Program, contact Nirmala Singh-Brinkman, Program Manager at 206/467-8734 x20, 1/866/218-7878 (toll free), nirmala@artisttrust.org or visit www.artisttrust.org/pro_resources/edge.
