Some tips on creating recipes for your juicer

Bananas? Forget about it. Don’t even try to juice bananas; they just won’t juice. If you try, you’ll end up with a mushy mess on your hands. Should you insist on putting bananas in your recipe, add them in afterwords via a blender.

Cabbage recipes?
In theory they may sound like a great nutrient rich addition to your juicer cocktail. In reality, tread lightly! Drinking cabbage juice can cause your stomach to revolt. This is due the high sulfur content of cabbage.

When concocting your own juicer recipes keep in mind certain veggies have a not so subtle flavor that can easily overpower your drink.

Here is the short list: celery, cucumber, onion, tomato, basil and garlic. A good starting base for any experimental recipe is the tried and true carrot and apple combo. Start your adventures there as these are neutral flavors and cheap to buy.
