How to Revive your old Paint Brushes

Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.

- Henry Ward Beecher

If you have old, hard paintbrushes, don’t throw them away!

There is a quick and easy way to revive them. All you will need is vinegar and soapy water. First, soak nylon paint brushes in hot vinegar for up to 30 minutes. After soaking, wash them with hot, soapy water. They will be as good as new, and the process is a lot cheaper than buying new paintbrushes. Try to do this every time after you use them and you'll have beautiful brushes for years to come.

I also heard murphy oil and a combination of vinegar and baking soda will also do the trick. I haven't tried that yet, but if you get around to do so let me know how it goes.

Happy restoring!
