Cookie Kit Jar - I can't cook, but I can bake!

One of my favorite things about the holidays is all the delightful little treats I get to indulge in. So, here’s a sweet gift that you can create and give to extend the holiday spirit into the new year.

A cookie jar kit! - These little jars are layered with the ingredients needed for yummy cookies and a little note attached instructing how to prepare them. Yum!

Cute right? They're a cute gift for that somebody in your life who loves to bake or the one who is learning how to. They are extremely easy to make and budget friendly! So, if you’re looking for a cute, simple, but thoughtful gift idea then you’ve found it.

The fun thing about this project is that you can make more than one and stay within your budget. You can find great deals at your local discount. Get the nice smooth 1L jars with lids.

You can use your favorite recipe or this one. Yummy choc chip and oat cookies!
Layer with the following:
1 and 1/3 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking Soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup cooking oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or red and green m&ms/ peanut m&ms)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar

Don't forget to write down the instructions. Mix with 1 egg, 1/2 cup butter and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Divide into balls and bake at 180C until golden.

Decorate with some ribbon, add a tag with instructions and you're done!

And of course, you can always use this idea for any occasion, play with the size of jars, portions, decorations of the jar, etc.

Note: I found this recipe on Pinterest. Please contact me if you've seen the website this belongs to. I'd like to know who to give credit to. Thanks.
